installation of bullitt pedal kit
 

how do you install the bullitt pedals or for that sake any new pedals, i dont feel like waiting for my dad to wakeup so i figured id post it. i checked out the backs and theres no screws or anything i can feel on the orginal pedals, so im thinking theres some kindve adhesive thats applied to them? i dont just wana go tearing them off though if its even possible without knowing.

Ok, here goes. If you are of drinking age, get a case of beer, these things suck. If not, like me, just be prepared to get really pissed off and frustrated, but remain patient if possible. Now, for the dead pedal, take a screwdriver, and pry the old one off, it just pops out and the new one back in. The clutch and brake suck. The stock ones come off easy, they just have a rubber lip on the back that they cling onto the metal part of the pedal mech. Putting them on requires some force, dawn dish soap, and a lot of cursing. Just work them on a side at a time, maybe use a small screwdriver to help. Ive also heard of heating the rubber with a blowdryer to help it on. The gas pedal is the worst of all. Unbolt the WHOLE pedal assembly. Then, unhook the throttle cable from the pedal and pull it all out. Youll notice a pin that holds the old pedal in the assembly. You need to get that out, using a hammer and punch, or something else. This is the bane of your existance for the next few mins, hours, days, etc... Once you get it out, go to lowes, and buy a long enough bolt and a locking nut to go with it in the old pins place. Then, put the new accel pedal in with the new bolt and locking nut. DO NOT try to hammer the old pin back in, trust me, I broke my 17 dollar pedal this way, and still havent bought a new one...Now, reconnect the throttle cable to the pedal assembly and bolt the who mechanism back in with the 2 or 3 bolts that it has. Then, enjoy and thank the good lord that its over.

Yeah, I agree....get a lot of beer cause your going to need something to calm you down. I tried 3 times to get the clutch and brake pedal on and finally my dad came to the rescue and was able to get them on.

Do what I did. I bribed ny little brother to do it and them let him take the car out.

Alright the stock clutch and brake pops out. I had to trim my bullit pedals... some people say DO NOT do this.. but I'm going on 4 months and I havnt had a problem. I trimmed mine A LOT too! I spent HOURS trying to get these bastards on... they are horrible. Once you think you got it going get into your seat and let all your anger out as slam the pedal to the floor. I got lucky once the rubber popped over the pedal and I was done. I didnt have near the luck with my clutch pedal.

Gas is simple, yet another PITA. Undo the 2 bolts, bring down the whole assembly and pry the hell out of that stupid bolt thing. Get the new pedal on and beat the heck out of it with a hammer.

See? Your anger can actually help with the install process. Yell a few times too.
