keyless entry issues
 

hey guys, sorry ive been out for a while.
i just wanted to ask a quick question though...
when i originally purchased my stang it did not come with the "remote" key fob thingy.... i bought one off ebay, programmed it and it worked like a charm....
untill this week.
I was washing the car and decided to cut out the fog light "fins" with my little pocket gerber knife i keep on my keyring.
After removing fins, i forgot to pick my keys off the ground and apparently they got a little wet. it actually worked about 4 days then i noticed my battery terminal was loose; replaced it with another and now my remote will not work...
I figured the car forgot it.... tried the reporgram method (position 3-4 8 times, car locks, unlocks. press button, car confirms with another lock, unlock. turn key off, car exits program mode) but the remote does not work afterwards....
im soooo confused.:confused:
the car sees the remote is transmitting.... it does the lock/unlock cycle thing as soon as i hit any button.....
ive tried every combination out there.... from 4 to waiting 20s, 4 to start.... door open, closed..... grrrr:mad:
i took it apart to clean it and look for water damage but saw none....
any one have any other ideas?
i may just have to break down and spend another whopping $15 on another
but i really just want this one to work......:D
