How do you remove the starter
 

I have a 99Gt.. and I need to remove the starter, but I can only see 1 bolt. Is there a trick to remove the starter..Need some help.

its a PITA. grab a repair manual.

there are three...the one at the very very top its a PITA...most people leave that one out...good luck..i havent had a need to take mine out

I think I might have used extensions and swivels on my socket wrench to try to get at two of the bolts. It might help. Try attacking it from the wheel well too instead of just under the car.

giant hammer and a cutoff wheel.

wire cutters and blow torch. that oughtta do it for ya :D

its a pain in the but! my first time replacing my took almost an hour! i though 2 botls where holding up till i found that 3rd one hiding on the top!
