Most techs dont like that. I always hated when customers stood there and watched, probabaly cuz most of them are assholes and keep "reminding" you about how to do your job. Its very frustrating when someone who knows jackshit tries to tell you what to do. The worst is when they actually try and "help" you. Thats a big no-no. I usually drop something very heavy very close to their feet and tell them they should stand away cuz the shop is dangerous(this is after i suggest they wait in the office). They usually get the point. But yea oil change garages suck, i've fixed alot of their mistakes.

Well, yea if you see them doing something wrong then you definately have to say something. Try and stay away from these shops, they mostly have inexperienced techs. I can tell you that first hand cuz the first shop i ever worked in was a Meineke.
