Removing stock A-arms from stock K-member...?
 

Trying to get the A arms off, but the front bolt holding it to the K member is getting hung up on the boot on the steering rack (assuming it covers a CV joint). I have tried and tried and cannot find a single way of getting that bolt all the way out without taking the rack off. Anyone else have this problem? Any ways to get around it?

If not, to take the steering rack off, it looks like it's just one long bolt on either side holding it to the K, and then where it connects to the steering shaft. Are there any other connections?

The steering rack is held on by two bolts/ nuts, and one 13mm bolt for the steering shaft. Take the bolt out of the steering shaft, then pull the pieces apart.

Thanks. I took the three bolts out but the shaft doesn't seem to want to budge. I'll work on it some more, see what happens. I swear, putting in CC plates and new shocks/struts was 10 times easier than these two damn bolts!

Ok, taking out the 13mm bolt near the rack didn't do much, the shaft wouldn't budge. Instead I loosened it near the steering column and it eventually slid out. I swear, such a simple thing turned out to be WAY complicated just because Ford decided to be, well dumb.
