Attachment 10480Attachment 10481Hey, I'm new to the forum, but I just bought a Roush 428R Mustang and was wondering if anyone could recomend a good insurance company to go with. Thanks,

good != insurance company
insurance company == bad
good != bad

Or in english.. call around and get quotes. There's no such thing as a good insurance company. I can tell you bargain basement operations have shitty service and never pay quickly. Allstate makes me happy but they have their quirks too.

how did you buy a car with out getting insurance at the time of purchase? Your state doesn't require it? As far as which company, get quotes from the major players....AAA, Allstate, State Farm and so on.

If you don't daily drive your mustang and only use it for shows and such, you can get a collector car insurance policy. Grundy Worldwide has no mileage limitations and the only restriction is that I don't use it as my daily driver. I pay $227.00 a YEAR for full coverage.

Garety (I'm not sure if that is how you spell it) is a collector car insurance company also. A Roush 428R would surely be considered a collector car becuase of it's limited production. I have Geico and have been happy with it, but opinions will vary no matter what the insurance company.

American Family is good... i would stay away from Geico, Progressive, and all those other ones who tell you what the others quote, they are all expencive, and i dont really think there is any benefit to the added cost.

I moved my mustang from Geico to American Family Insurance and the rate dropped by half, and yes i have had to deal with 2 claims with them and so far i have nothing but good things to say about them.

I was thinking of Hagerty, not Garety. Just saw a commercial for it.
