Your talking about the silverstar bulbs right? if so its just a matter of opening the hood unplugging the old ones, taken them out and installing the other ones. For the money their a decent upgrade in lighting power. I have them on my car in the heads and fog lights i like them for the cost and the whiter output. I hate the aftermarket bulbs that make your lights neon blue.

its not HID if its just the bulb. It will be brighter than your stock lights but HID's consist of: the bulbs, ballast boxes and all the wires.

how much brighter do you think it would be like 30% brighter?

it will be noticeable for sure replacing the stock bulbs. If you want a real change invest in a HID conversion kit. If you want to keep the cost low though just go with some new bulbs.

Just like i said before, remove old and install new and dont touch the bulb with your hands the oil will make then burn out faster. Their a good improvement over stock for sure and for the cheap cost a worth while upgrade for me.
