Those with H&R springs

Hey guys, im looking even deeper into lowering my car, and Ive come across the H&R's compared to the steeda sports I was planning on. Now, I want to see pictures of everyones cars with the H&R springs on it, and I wanna know what level springs they are, what shock/strut package, and if you needed c/c plates to get it aligned. Also where you got em from, how the install was, and how much better the ride is/isnt how the handling is and so on. Thanks.
Matt

Come on, anyone?

venom 05-25-2005 11:12 AM

From what I can recall H&R and Eibach are the same, correction or are German companies.

madmatt 05-25-2005 11:45 AM

Ok thanks, anyone with pics?

venom 05-25-2005 03:02 PM

I have the Eibachs prokit 1.5 in drop.

fastmustangs1 05-25-2005 04:23 PM

H&R and Eibach are not the same. 2 different spring companies.
H&R is a little better quality.

Got mine from stangsuspension.com

madmatt 05-26-2005 07:27 AM

Thanks lance. And everyone else. Ive read about sag though, any experience?

H&R will give you more of a drop then the eibach pro kit. Also the ride will be kind of harsh with stock shock/struts. And be ready to scrape on everything with those springs.

I've never heard H&R to sag. It's also one of the best spring companies out there from everyone's experience.

AHH, so confused on what to do. At first I was pretty decided on steeda sports, but then I see the nice lookin H&R's. Ah, I just wanna be lower and make the car ride on rails. Which would be better. Im gettin new shocks (Tokico HP's) so the ride wont be so bad.

Steeda sports are the same exact damn thing at Ford C-springs. I've purchased both and rode on both and have boh still installed on both of our cars.... the c-springs win my vote because they are way cheaper.

H&R's, simply the best. Nuff said.

No sag at all,you do have to watch out for speed bumps though :)

I'm going with the Eibach Sportline myself, My gap is just that wide, and it will give me about a 2" drop. I will have to take it super easy going up and down driveways. The side exhaust is already low.

madmatt 05-29-2005 09:34 AM

Well, I ordered the H&R sports today. Thanks for the advice guys.

Cool, I am trying to deside if I want Eibach Pro-Kit of the H&R's myself. Sorta leaning towards the Pro-Kit though.

MattJ 05-29-2005 12:05 PM

MineralGT 05-29-2005 01:44 PM

I'll have my Pro-Kit springs installed tomorrow...been sitting in my garage since Thursday. I'll post up some pics after.

MattJ 05-29-2005 01:45 PM

bilstein shocks if youve got the money
tokico if you dont

madmatt 05-29-2005 07:58 PM

Yea, thats what Ive been told, but man, I cant see spending 500 bucks for shocks...or trying to convince my dad of that either.

madmatt 05-30-2005 07:45 AM

Well, bad news for the H&R lovers, my sport springs have been on backorder for about 2 months now, so im not gettin those. I just had the guy switch the order to Steeda sports, the springs I was originally going to get, so I think Ill like em anyways. Anyways, thanks for the help.

swervo 05-30-2005 08:29 AM

Where did you try to order from?

MattJ 05-30-2005 09:51 AM

I got mine from maxiumum motorsports. Try there or EBAY for them.

swervo 05-30-2005 10:05 AM

madmatt 05-30-2005 10:14 AM

Yes, thats where I ordered them from and he told me they were backordered, so I told him to just switch it to the Steedas. Ill still be happy, as the steeda sports are what I originally wanted and will still look great.
