FLowmasters too quite

My flowmasters are too quite for my taste. When i got the car they were nice, then i put dumps on them, made em a little louder inside my vert. but still not loud enough to make my stang stand out. I really don't have the money for a h or x pipe right now, it may be a while before i get the money actually i have other things i need to pay for first. What is a way to make my car louder with out spending more than lets say out $35-50??

Buy and install cut-outs.

SxyXc 06-12-2007 06:24 PM

where can i get em and how much?? or would it be hard to go drop the h-pipe and cut 1 or 2 cats off each side, since my car had 6 cats total!! and see how it sounds, but still have a cat(s) there??

Off road X pipe. But its going to be more then you want to spend.

**** cut outs just unbolt your mufflers. can be done in like 10 minutes for free

tried that on my last stang, and my parents almost killed me. But by the time they caught it, it was too late i had already sold my mufflers for $150.But i did love the way it sounded, that was on my 98 gt.

i did mine for a day and i left the mufflers hanging and put one bolt back in to hold the mufflers above my h pipe. i could get under there and hook the mufflers back up without wrenches in case i needed to be quiet. worked out well. and your right, it does sound pretty badass.

Can you get a picture of how you have them about you h. On my old one i did that for a while but 1 it made my h hang down lower and 2. the would just kinda come loose and drag.

phil_the_thrill 06-13-2007 05:43 AM

ill screw with it today and see what i can do

You could do is cut off the mufflers, replace that with a straight pipe or flex tubing, To keep the tips, I did that to keep the tips, sounds good, loud, & my parents dont mind it!

Yup, just save some more money and buy a new midpipe. My car is pretty loud, but not annoying. Don't go for annoying loud just to be loud.

yea running no mufflers sounds stupid and loud...save a few more bucks and buy a mid pipe or live with it
