Question about headers

I have a slp catted x-pipe and am looking to get some headers. Will the SLP longtubes fit? If not slp is there any other brand anyone recommends? Thanks

long tube? shorty? or mid-length?

if you have stock manifolds which I assume you do based on your question, you will have to get a shorty Xpipe if you want to go with long tube headers. Long Tube headers give the most gains.

BBK long tubes fit well.

I have a mid-length. I know longtubes give you the most gain, but would it really be worth it to put on a new shorty x-pipe?

since you have the SLP x-pipe already it will fit with the SLP longtubes.. the X-pipe is modular and can be turned into a shorty Mid-pipe :)

Headers are listed as a 7 hour job from Ford. It took 7 hours for me and a mechanic to do mine at work, on a lift, with pnumatic tools. you have to drop the kmember to do the job.

Took me almost a week with another guy that didnt know anymore than i did. lol. If you do decide to do the install yourself, put a tubular k in while you are at it.
