Can anyone school me on rims. I am looking at getting some rims for traction and need to know what to look for quality wise. I have stock anthracite bullitt rims right now and my thoughts are just changing the rears to 17 x 10.5's for traction or maybe swapping all to chrome. I keep seeing these sets on ebay that seemed to be priced well. Your thoughts and advice ? Thanks.

Big heavy rims + more rotating mass= not exactly what you get for more traction. Well youll get a larger contact patch with the tires, but at twice the weight. What exactly are you trying to do with the car and how much power is it putting out?

I will be putting a Procharger on sometime in the next few weeks. I also have 4.10's already in. So I am really looking for ways to get more traction. I am aiming for 425rwhp. Its a weekend car. Maybe a trip to the strip here and there. What do you suggest for traction ideas. 2003 GT Vert.

I suggest getting a set of 15x10 Prostars or Draglites with 6.5 backspace. Get yourself some nice slicks. With those rims youll need to use these lugs, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Cant go wrong with 15x10 paired up with ET Streets.

I dont want to go quite to slicks. I wouldnt mind having a pair of those for the rear to swap in for certain ricer killer nights or for at the strip. The car will be driven not as a daily driver but still around lots and I dont want to get caught in the rain with those kind of tires. I think I still wanna keep somewhat of a stock look. How much of a difference can the rims make ? Are there other suspension options I can do to get some more traction without sacrificing the drivability on normal roads. I am lost when it comes to suspension. Thanks

I've been caught in the rain with ET Streets before...as long as you go slow and drive carefully you will be fine. Or you can use some MT drag radials. Suspension mods that help a great deal are RLCAs like maximum motorsports or steeda. I suggest you weld some full length subframe connectors as well.

I have Full length subframe connectors and a front strut tower brace. I just ahve to put them in. I'll look into rear control arms. Any thing else ? Thanks
