4.10 Gears on the Highway... w/ SLP LM1s
 

Doing about 75mph with a 2000GT Coupe and an 4R70W I was taching around 2750 rpms and it wasn't near as loud as I thought it would be. We were able to have conversation and play word games with my son.

Last night since I got to the 500 mile break in point on the way to a GTG at D&B I got on it on the way home because I got stuck behind a 55mpher and an import sedan thought he was gonna squeeze me. I punched it thinkin' with my 3.27 brain and when I did it felt like I might of chirped the tires ( if ever so briefly) and was back up to 75 way sooner than I expected...

Also, the tranny doesn't seem to need to kickdown as often as it used to...

The other thing of note is that there's the onramp of which I do not speak (blew my engine on it) that I "race up" ever so often... Well with the old gears I'd get to 70mph in time to merge. Now I'm at 70 by the time I'm at 2/3rds of the way...

I have the same setup and it is very comfortable to cruise at as far as sound goes.

Get a more free flowing mid pipe then tell me how you like it:salook: . Exact same set up but with a catted prochamber.

Are you auto?

I've got an auto with 4.10s, an off road prochamber and dynomax mufflers and I love the sound at highway speeds. I agree with you on the 50-55 mph punch and how "violent" it is. I just about slammed into the car in front of me the first time that I punched it at highway speeds. Needless to say...I was impressed.:Woot:

I have 4.10's, SLP LM 2 cat-back and I'll be putting on SLP LT's and a catted - X in about a month. I am waiting for my dad to get a weekend off. My car drones seriously around 2200 which I think is around 60mph. I have to go faster to get out of the drone range. I am a 5-speed. The nice thing about the catback system is that you could change the mufflers in about 20 mins if you were going on a long trip and didnt want to hear drone.

I run 3 chamber flows, a catted bbk X, and 3.73's in my auto and I have had to be carefull getting on it at freeway speeds. My exhaust seems a bit loud after having the mufflers on for about ten years. They still sound mellow at low speeds, but the wicked mustang drone is big in it nowdays. Here in Utah though, you have to be mindfull of the gearing when the weather goes to hell. If not, it makes for some very spirited driving to say the least. :postwhore:
