Alarm System and maybe a lift?
 

Hey dudes,

After consultation with spike and white saleen, I decided to go with an entire MAC exhaust system; long-tube headers, shorty h-pipe, gt catback. After I purchase this system and get a tune, I'm seriously thinking about getting some new springs for my front end. Even in some of the back-roads here in KY, my drop just beats the shit out of my undercarriage and I want to keep the new exhaust in relatively acceptable order. What kind of springs would you suggest?

Also, I need a car alarm system, need suggestions on that one too. Hit me back up.

stock springs will fix your dirt road problem and are best for that kind of use. Otherwise try a set of Bullit/Mach 1 springs and an appropriate shock/strut package.

Replace both the front and rear. You can't even feel the fronts right now... you're feeling the backs being hella stiff. Everybody thinks hot fronts are bad but hot rears are the #1 cause of harsh ride.

For alarms id go with any of these VIPER, AUTOPAGE, PYTHON, ECLIPSE. Eclipse is a cool system they do the free gps traking they instal it behind yer stereo and if u car gets jacked yo go up on web site and type insome stuff an wham theres your car. viper has the same stuff but you got to pay. but u could also go with lojack

It's not so much my ride quality, its my drag. Speed-bumps and poor road's have absolutely demolished my undercarriage (I purchased the car with 62,000 on it and its pretty bad underneath there.)

ever consider anything along the lines of an air ride system?

raise it when ya need it up... and lower her back the way she should be

Can always do a coil-over conversion. Adjustability like airbags but it's manual, not pnumatic like airbags...

What springs do you have now?

I automatically just thought to go back to stock springs, that'll raise you back up.
I forgot about Mach1/bullit springs. I think that would be perfect. Still slightly lower than stock, but will raise you up a little from where you are now.

Alarms, go with Python/Viper. There's a reason they are the top alarm company. I have the top of line Viper model with the 2 way pager. Very nice and works about 200 yards away. Remote start works much farther than that.

Viper 791xv is the model I have. Got it brand new for $200 on Ebay and they sell it for $500 at Best Buy/Circuit City. Be prepared to pay around $200 for a proper and full install.
