1966 Coupe Questions

Hi,
I have a few problems that I have yet to solve on my wife's '66 coupe.

First: I was looking to do a front drum to disc swap because the brake pedal is really hard to push and is hard to hold at a stop sign or light. I was thinking maybe the distribution block is bad since all wheel cylinders and master cylinder are new. Any suggestions? It is not at all like my 65 which is very easy to brake to a stop.
Second: I've replaced lower control arms, upper ball joints, center drag, and bushings on front end. I have yet to replace the upper control arm bushings and am wondering if those are worn out, would it make the car wander all over the road. At speeds above 45 MPH, the car is all over the place. Been wanting to put a Monte Carlo bar on the shock towers to stabilize the front end also, but I need to get the rest of the front fixed. Also it is very hard to steer, unlike my 65 which I can drive completely with one hand. (By the way, both cars are alike except the 65 has a standard transmission and standard interior.)
Third: On the brake conversion question, this car has 14" wheels with 5 lug spindles. This car has a 200 CI I-6 engine and automatic trans, did they ship cars with 5 lug wheels and a 6 cylinder? This car was apparently reconstructed from 2 cars and the doors obviously taken from the donor car whereas the front end was completely replaced on the body. The VIN under the hood is completely gone so I cannot tell if the car had a V8 originally.

Anyone that can shed some light would be most appreciated.

To my knowledge(and from going to the 40th anniversary mustang show which had over 3000 mustangs) they did NOT ship V6's with 5 lugs. They shipped a pink car put not V6 5luggers.
