Quick H-Pipe Question
I'm thinking of putting a catted H-pipe on over winter break however, will I fail inspection for doing so? I'm not familiar w/ the smog laws in NJ...
Forgot to mention, I'm looking at the Mac catted H-pipe for stock manifolds/shorties.
you shoule be fine, if you want to make sure get the steeda mil eliminators
Part of the test is any tampering of the emission equipment. Would the average guy at an inspection station actually know what the difference between stock and aftermarket is? The reason why I'm worried is I want to do this during my winter break and I have to go for inspection in February.
You should be fine..Just turn the codes off if you have a sct or get mils and they should not know
He's not going to get any codes anyway, most likely. I bet he has nothing to worry about.

I had the MAC catted H-pipe w/catback and i passed emissions w/no problems i had no mil-eliminators either, i did have a Superchip in it with a tune, cant remember if they programed my CEL light to be off?
