ballpark cost of exhaust install

Im going with Flowmaster Delta 40 series catback and a Mac O/R H-pipe. I know that no one can tell me exactly how much it will be to install the exhaust but could you all tell me what you think it might cost. Thank you

I paid $80 to have my catback and mid-pipe installed, but I don't know what the range typically is.

Can I ask why your going with a flowmaster catback?

ha ha...I guess there isn't anything wrong with them....they sound good. I just think there are soooooooooo many other better performing systems out there. I'm just a flowmaster hater....I'll admit it. ha ha

Mufflers are for pussies.

I'm curious as to why you don't want to istall it yourself? All you need a a hack-saw, 7/16" wrench or socket, and a jack/jack stands. It is a very simple install, the hardest part being putting the mufflers on since the slots for the studs at the H-pipe end is a very tight fit.

what would you suggest? I happen to like the sound of the Delta 40s, which is why I was going to go with the flowmasters.

I'm gonna say anywhere from $150-$250.

FREE! DIY, its too easy to pay someone to do it, plus you know the work will be done right.

Exhaust sound is a personal choice so if you like flowmaster then go for it. I would just say that if your looking for performance out of a catback, look to another brand....just my two cents.

Hey the mufflers were already on the car so I figured money spent elsewhere would be better. I happen to think my car sounds pretty badass, so you can just cram it up your cramhole!!:tongueout:

I thought that most of the power was going to be made by replacing the mid pipe with an O/R H-pipe, not by the catback... does anyone have the HP gains for some common exhausts?

That's probably true, but every little bit counts.
