Whining noise?

Okay, so i love my car to death, but for the past 2 years, it's been making a whining noise from the back when i press the gas. Everyone that rides in my car asks me what it is, and they all try to figure it out, but are never successful. I was wondering if anyone else has had this, or if it is normal?

No it's not normal.....why not take it back to the dealership and take a mechanic on a test ride and leave the car with them until they fix it? I'm sure you have lots of warranty left....you should get it fixed before it runs out

It may be a bearing. Which one I do not know. Get it cheacked out before it gets worse

Yeah, I'm definately taking it in to the dealer... and yes, there is still ALOT of warranty left. I hope its nothing major though.

No, i havent yet... this has been going on since the day we drove it off the lot. I just always thought it was normal, until recently, when everyone started pointing it out.

There is another thread about a gear upgrade option...

i dunno, it could be bad, it could be nothing. either way you better take it in.

i had 4:10 gearing installed in mine and around 45mph i can hear a very slight whine when i give it a little throttle, but it is almost hard to hear over the road noise.

You got a warranty, best bet is to use it. make those bastards rip her guys out and find out whats wrong.
