Angel Eye headlight aiming

Hello everyone, I just purchased the dual angel eye headlights from americanmuscle (http://www.americanmuscle.com/9904-l...ors-black.html) and hooked them up last week. The problem I am having is it seems the low beams only shine for about 5-10 feet in front of my car. I have been trying to look for a way to adjust these lights and I can not see one. At first I thought the bulbs may have been in upside down or something, but they only go in one way (H1's). Anybody here know anything about these angel eye lights. 2000 V-6, Thanks for any help.

figured out

I think I figured it out this morning. If I have some time this weekend I will take some pictures of the install so if anyone else needs to install these they will know where to hook the wires up.

Have you tried adjusting them, as outlined in the owner's manual?

manual

If you mean the owners manual of the lights I did not get one if one does exist. All I got was a photocopied piece of paper on how to change the halo ring light bulbs, and to hook the black wires to ground. I guess they figure if you buy them you should know how to hook them up and adjust them.

I meant for the car. There is a procedure outlined in it. I say, give that a try, if not, I guess you can play around with it.

Those actually dont look too bad. I wonder if one could retrofit HID projectors in those. Ive got some e46 bixenon projectors I could use in those. I was kind of hesitant to consider them.

no HID's it says

Not sure if you can read the sticker on top of the light, it says you can not use HIDs with these lights. They may still work if you change the projectors but I dont know

I have the same lights, with the same problem. I did not receive any instructions. I had my friend at the body shop install them for me. How do you adjust these things? My brights really light up the road, but not the dimms. I don't recall where I bought them, mustang tunning was out of stock at the time. I remember them recommending some sort of upgraded lights/projector for another $90.00 or so (per light? I do not remember).

I have another question. My left blinker blinks really fast so I changed the rear directional light, and it did not change anything. I can not seem to get to the front bulb to change it, what's the trick?

Erik

There are two black clips, one on the right, one of the left, you just pull these straight out, then the light just pulls right off so you can get to the turn signal

To aim them there is a screw on each bulb on the inside edge with a little metal gear/washer looking thing. You just turn this thing clockwise many times and it will aim the light up. I turned the screw about 20 times for mine.

exactly what is the best setup if you want to put HIDs on a 99-04 mustang? I want HIDs sometime, but I want the right projectors for them.
