I did that about a year and a half ago. One of the BEST mods you can do. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

The light is still on, but it stops chiming,

PureStang 09-21-2006 07:52 PM

just buckel up and un buckel..it turns it off for that drive session

silverstang04 09-21-2006 07:56 PM

My SCT2 killed the chime and the light. :tongueout:

It tell's you how to do it in your manual. One of the first thing's I do.

I jus reached under the seat and unplugged the wire before i drove mine off Fords lot.

TClark22 09-21-2006 08:21 PM

you know...i am just going to throw this out there but...you could try wearing your seatbelt at all times when driving...i mean that may be a stretch but u can try

lol even though i wear mine all the time i might do it...

In all honesty I do wear my seatbelt. But when Im working on my car with the door open or just hanging out in my car with a girl listening to the radio Its nice to not have an annoying ding every minute

If not for the seat belts and air bag,I wouldn't be writing this now. 8/23 would have been my last day on earth. :hittingthefan:

thats what I was gonna say....now theres proof no one reads the owner's mauals. It's one of the first things I do...and we suggest this to all our BMW owners who dont bother to read it.

whitethunder46 09-22-2006 04:55 PM

this chime isnt necesarrily for seat belts but also when leaving a door open for cleaning or something if your listening to the radio, if im not mistaken

depends on the year... i believe anything from 2002 or 2003 and newer thats true, but anything older and it doesnt shut it off.

03AZRoush 09-24-2006 12:49 PM

the door chime is something different cause mine still chimes....and ya buckling and unbuckling doesnt do anything in my 03
