Mid pipe question

When I installed my prochamber on the driers side there was a metal sleeve that came with the pipe. That may have been lost when my tranny ppl did there work and causing a exhaust leak. Where can I get another one or do I even need it. I think I do though. Also I need a new passenger side gasket too. Where can I get these?

get the gasket from Ford.

dunno what to tell you about the sleeve....maybe time to call the co. you got your pipes from.

Got it from MAC.....its a sleeve that goes inside the driver side pipe...I dunno if its supposed to give a better seal for the ball flange or what

curious......

Found some more info on that sleeve

Reader's Digest version:

Passenger side: Throw out the cardboard gasket. Reuse your factory one or get a new OEM one from Ford. Spray the bolts with PB Blaster before you start. It will help loosen it up.

Drivers side: The exhaust manifold bolts have a shoulder. On some cars, it prevents you from tightening the nuts far enough to make a seal. Some people get replacement bolts from NAPA. Mac started including those metal sleeves so you don't have to get new bolts. Just slip the sleeve in the Prochamber leg that meets up with the exhaust manifold. It acts like a filler/spacer.

Mac had tons of issues with exhaust leaks in their older style mid-pipes....that's why they include the metal sleeve now.....I'm not sure what your options are, but I would call mac first of all and see if they will send you another one. As for the gasket, I got mine at the ford dealership parts store.

I forgot to install that sleeve on mine and i had a leak so i took it to an exhaust shop and the guy made the sleeve and put it on and i was like "oh that's what that was for". So an exhaust shop would be able to help you out.

That sleeve is acually a gasket that seals the pipe so it doesnt leak. You need it, but I dunno where to get a new one....

I just got a MAC H-Pipe put on my car and it came with a gasket and that sleeve that you are talking about. I used the gasket and didnt need the sleeve because i tested the car for leaks and there were none so i didnt worry about it. Some how last night i went to get gas in my car and for some reason i guess a bolt came loose so there is a huge leak somewhere and im about to go get everything tightened down right now. But anyways you may not even need it if there wasnt a leak before.
