Stumbled upon a good buy

I found a vortech supercharger kit for $700. It doesnt have all the parts to it. Most of them are there. It includes: Satin V1 S trim head w/ pulley, boost pipe, bypass valve, intake tube (no filter), correct blower bracket, and oil lines. It looked dirty in the pics...I am ready to buy this kit right now from this guy if everyone thinks its a good deal.

Ill need a lightning MAF, 03/04 Cobra injectors (skinny), K&N filter, and a tune. If I buy this, ill have to sell my n20 kit to make up for the money I spend. How much is my kit worth? Its got brand new solenoids.

Heres the pics I have seen......

nitrous kits are a dime a dozen. you wont get much for them. the supercharger deal sounds good though.

I'm pretty sure you will also need a focus fuel pump.

If nothing is wrong with the unit, i would buy it. You could get around 300 +or- on ebay for it.

That is almost the exact same setup I got for $600. With all of the needed parts, expect to have about $1,700-$2,000 invested when it is all done and running. That is, if you use new injectors, new MAF, new Fuel Pump, good tune, etc. You could do it for a lot less if you use used stuff.

Congrats!!

BTW, what size pulley is on there?

I dont care about having all new parts. Im can get the MAF and injectors for less than $300. I get the K&N Filter and Gates serpentine belts for cost. Those will be around $50-60 together. All else I will need is bolts (pretty much free) and a handheld tuner. I have seen used Diablo programmers for $200. The shop near me only uses Diablo, so thats what ill need. Cost for dyno tuning is $250. Said and done it should be around $1500.....I already have a good fuel pump. The Walbro has been on there for 2 years w/ no problems so I dont plan on changing it out
