is that realy how your supposed 2 do it????dont we just have a drain bolt and a fill bolt like every other car out there?

No we dont, you have to remove the cover. The only thing we have is a fill hole. Thats another reason I got a new cover.

there is another way....

I take my gear oil pump and stick the siphon tube into my diff and pump out the old goo, add a 1/2 quart of new stuff, pump it out, then do the fill procedure. That way you don't have to pop the cover.

Truth be told, popping the cover is a really good idea anyway, you should be checking the general status of things while you're in there. Use black RTV to reseal the cover.

From 2 years as a lube tech, very very few american cars with RWD have drain plugs on the differential pumpkins. Most imports do but they're a PITA sometimes (toyota).

ehh that was a lot easier than i thought it would be all the bolts were real easy to get to for once
