Frustrating...

Well I went and cleaned out the IAC MAF and changed out the plugs and now I am getting this grinding noise @ about 3,000RPM's. I don't know WTF is wrong. I put in all new plugs and even went through and checked every one to see if it is in right. Everything is torqued to spec and I still get this grinding noise@ 3k RPM. This is getting really frustrating. If it helps any it is from the right side of the engine.

Did you pull the plugs from the right side? What did you torque them to? How did you put them down in there? What are they gapped at?

grinding noise? pull the oil pid stick and look at the oil in the sun see if there is some shiney to it like metal flakes. My guess would be some sort of valvetrain problem from what you say.

I called ford and told me to gap them to .54. I did all the plugs on the car at once and after I did it is when this noise came up. What's wierd about it is that I don't think it's a miss because I have perfect idling. It sounds like it's coming from the front of the engine or something. I wonder if it's a bearing?

The only thing I was thinking is that you dropped the plug in there and broke the tip off.

I repulled all the plugs today again and all of them had there tips and the old ones had their tips also. I also looked @ the oil dipstick and see no shiney flakes. I am beggining to think that it might be a bad bearing....
