Noobie Questions

IF I am going to get some 4:10 gears should I also get a bearing kit when my car has 65k on it? If I have to get one which one is the one for my 2001 cobra mustang convertible?

Does my Cobra come with a stock H-pipe?

If I do gears do i have to get a tune also? Cuz a friend told me you didn't have to.

Should I do Gears/shocks/struts/exshaust all @ once?

you dont need a tune, but you will need a way to correct your speedo with the gears.

But you might want to spring for the tuner too and save yourself some cash with MTs deal. You will probably end up needing it down the line anyways if you plan on modding more, if not just to correct the speedo for now. :beerchug:

The stock H-pipe is somewhat restrictive at 2.25" diameter. An aftermarket H pipe or X pipe with 2.5" or even 3" (3 is a little big) will yeild some slight gains in power and a big improvement in sound. I'd recommend a model that comes with high flow cats but you'll need to figure out what your local emissions regulations say about that.

Shocks and struts should be replaced if you've lowered the car substantially with higher rate springs or if they're bad. To test, push down real hard on each corner. If it rebounds more than once or twice (not little wiggles but serious rebounds) then they're bad and you should look at koni, tokico, bilstein, etc... for a replacement.

I'd get the tuner with the gears and save yourself a little hassle.
