Bullitt green

is the bullitt green the same color as the tropical green that some 99-04 mustangs come in, or is it a color specifically for the bullitt?

The bullitt green is called Dark Highland Green (DHG), I could be mistaken, but I think it was a specific color just for the Bullitts. I'm thinking they came in three different colors, True Blue, DHG, and Black. The DHG ftw though.

I read somewhere it came in only the DHG at first, then they did the True Blue but no black.

At first I thought there was only green and the true blue (dark blue) were people trying to have the bullitt look, but then i read that they made the blue ones, and they are more rare. I guy here at SHAW AFB has one.

There are black bullit mustangs. They are VERY rare even more than the true blue ones. I think id rather have that DHG though....

+1 the original bullitt was green so they should of never made black and blue imo.

Yes they did make black bullitts I know someone who has one. Althought I never saw a blue one.

I've seen the DHG and black, but never layed eyes on a blue one.

This will some it up.....

The 2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt
2001 Ford Mustang Bullitt
A 1968 Mustang GT was driven by actor Steve McQueen, known as Frank Bullitt, in the 1968 move "Buillitt." The car was used in an outstanding chase scene in the hills of San Francisco. Although the movie is not the most popular of all time, it does have a big following that Mustang is targeting with the 2001 edition of the Mustang GT. However, the 2001 and 1968 Mustang GT are not exactly the same car, despite sharing some similar qualities. For example, both of these editions have a similar solid rear axle suspension with an independent front as well as a rear wheel drive chassis and front engine layout. However, this is where the similarities stop. One major difference is the engines. The 1968 Mustang GT had 390 cubic inches that offered plenty of power. The 2001 Bullitt has a 281 cubic inch 4.6 liter single overhead cam V8. Also, the 2001 model is sportier and more powerful thanks to some small changes in the engine and chassis. The exterior was enhanced in ways the '68 GT was not, as well as an improved interior on the Bullitt. Of course, those individuals who want the enhanced Bullitt will pay for it since the package costs approximately $3700 more than the Mustang GT base price.
The 2001 Mustang Bullitt has only three colors, including black, true blue, and dark highland green. The green color is similar to the GT's green color in the movie, and is the inspiration behind the color. The '68 GT is also remembered with the 2001's five spoke alloy wheels. The rear of the Mustang boasts "Bullitt" while the gas cap is specialized with brushed aluminum. The hood scoop adds muscle to the car, despite being non functional, and really sets the Bullitt apart.
