stronger rear/drivetrain

welp...I will be getting 4.10's soon. And I would like to beefin up the rear. I have an idea of what parts I would need, But I also want your input and recommendations of the parts available.

FRPP 4.10's, Ford 31 spline t- lok, Moser 31 spline axles, and a rebuilt kit. I also recommend a new diff cover such as Trick Flow or T/A. This will help with twisting and such.

+2, That's the set-up I had done with my gears, except for a Ford Racing dif cover and Detoit Locker Truetrac dif, short of a 9" it's about as bullet-proof as you can get.

yep +1 here... I might substitute an Eaton or Auburn diff for the T-Lok but the 31 spline units from any of them (and true track which I love) are plenty strong for most uses.

In addition to the gears you'll need an install kit with crush sleeve, bearings, and shims. Yes, go ahead and replace the bearings now (even if you don't need it), it'll save you heartache later. It's a helluva lot cheaper to do it now while everything is apart than to have to do it later cuz things started coming apart.

It's funny, after the install I got a good deal of wheel hop, never had any before. Turns out it's the tires, and something they call "traction", or trying to get traction. The Goodyears will just spin right off, my new and softer tires will try to hook-up. The Truetrac is great. Just waiting for MMS to get the new stuff to fix the hop problem. SC going in this weekend so I think I may need MORE traction.

LCA's will fix your wheel hop. I wouldnt get an Eaton or Auburn diff. Ive heard so many people have problems with those. If you dont want the Ford t-lok then go with the Truetrac.
