I was thinking about painting the pieces but what about scratches? Spray paint scratches easily.

This is insane!

+1.....the bezel that goes around the vents/radio are easy to find new and used, but its the shifter bezel that is a little harder to find....and more costly. Just watch ebay and you can find them every now and again.

Do it yourself.....

Step 1: Clean the **** out of it with alcohol

Step 2: Duplicolor adhesion promoter.

Step 3: Light coat of paint (kinof like a color primer coat)

Step 4: Paint another 4-5 coats.

Step 5: 3 coats clear coat.

(I used duplicolor vinyl and carpet paint)

After (yes, I still need to paint the ring around the shifter bezel):

Hey i have the same headunit (came with the car). The 2 rca plugs in the back that hang down, are they inputs for a sub? I plugged my sub into that and it didnt do anything:poke:

I have the silver and I have to say I'm not happy with it. The silver color flakes off and you end up with a semi-metallic orange peel look. Epoxy based paint would probably be the best option.

I think I'm gunna re-do mine in true blue. Hopefully that'll look good.
