Bullitt Kit Installed

Welp, got it all in today. Only weird thing is, the front end sits higher than it did stock by about 1/2 inch. Its been on jacks all day and:confused: I know the springs need time to settle, but this seems like its sitting really high, I know I seated them right and the isolators were on correctly. Should I be worried.?

Nope just give it about 10 days and you should be fine!!

FritoBandito 05-27-2006 06:29 AM

Good. I just thought it was weird that it say higher than before. I knew the full drop wouldn't be seen yet.

LOL Love the new CT LOL

Make sure you drive it as much as possible to help it settle!!

yeah i was just gonna say the same thing... when you first take the car off jack stands it will sit very high and will drop like an inch when you first start driving it. thats just because of the independent suspension. drive it around a lot and it will drop more

how is it?!
how much of an improvement did u notice???

FritoBandito 05-27-2006 02:06 PM

Haven't driven it much yet, I've been doing wedding stuff all day. Tomorrow, hopefully I can change the oil and play with the kit a little.

Did you torque down the stabilizer bar end links?

FritoBandito 06-01-2006 06:45 AM

Does it make any difference? I tightened them to where they smashed the bushing at about the same rate as before I removed anything. The back has settled, with the complete 3/4 drop. the front needs to come down about another 1/2 inch. The springs have been in for about 6 days but I've only driven the car like 3 times.

the front should come down a little more after you drive it some more. how do you like the ride?

It definitely rides stiffer but not harsh. The biggest difference I think is when you brake sort of hard, the front doesn't nose dive near as much as stock. When you start a turn spiritedly the car does not roll at all. I haven't tested the limits of the kit yet but there is a nice curve a mile or two from my house with a 45 mph limit and before, 45 on the curve felt about like all the stang could handle (which disappointed me after I bought the car) but yesterday I took it at 55 and it felt solid as hell. Overall, you feel more connected to the road. Hopefully after vegas, I can find a parking lot somewhere and push the kit.

Usually after a day of driving it will cure the height problem, my car was on jack stands for a few months, took it down and it did the same thing. drove it around, came home, and it was normal again.
