Painting Brake Calipers
Redlinetuning.com has a good product for doing this. But, I have heard you can get pretty decent kits from Autozone or Checkers.
Anybody got pictures of their cars with this done? I did my white 95GT calipers in black with a clear coat and they came pretty good. But, I have this comp orange cobra now and thinking about either orange or black. post up! |
I'm really not a fan of the paint on caliper kits I used VHT Caliper paint and it deflects brake crap and other substances a lot better than duplicolor paint on kit. its all in the prep work too

Just take them off and get them powdercoated. Much better results.

i just used paint from autozone, I think you should go with orange for your car, i think it would look good, but make sure you get the right color or else black

Hey guys whats up! Im new to this site but not new to Mustangs. Ive got 2 66s and a 95 Gt convertible. Anyways then back to the matter at hand. I agree with Steve-o you should get them powder coated. Its a lot more durable than paint and looks just as good. Im helping a buddy build a rally car and were powder coating a bunch of stuff, its durable as heck and looks good. Cant beat it.

Heres some pictures of mine painted black. I used the Dupi- color kit and everything came out great. There were painted black, so to clean them I got a wire brush and that hooked up to my drill and sanded the paint off. Calipers were real clean after that and ready to be painted.
