EASY QUESTION and ANSWER FOR MOST!..

but not me...ive never really been into cars so i dont know much, but my 97 mustang v6, jus aint doin it for me...i really want to make it into a Dual Exhaust, and make that **** rumble, and also add some horsepower and speed to it...i dont have a whole lot to work with, but i got some....can anybody tell me how do i go about doing this, and about how much u might think it will cost....sorry...i really am slow when it comes to this stuff...:wallbash:

I'm sure grimmz will chime in here. He has side exhaust on his v6 and it sounds pretty good. As far as "making that sh*T rumble", it aint gonna happen on a v6, however, you have options. Turbo, nitrous, cam, all will get you a lot more power outta the sixer.

you should look into a supersix stage 2+ or stage 3 package, it will definately liven up your sixer alot, i am looking to do the stage 2+...and as for exhaust it all depends on how much you want to spend...grimmz has a very good sounding exhaust but he did pay a bit more then some are willing, so hopefully he will chime in soon.

okay thanks for the help thus far...but i need to take this a little slow, cuz im not to good with all this...say i jus wanted to change my exhaust for now....i have a v6 without a dual exhaust...if i wanted to get a dual exhaust...(for example....Steeda Stainless Steel Cat-Back Dual Exhaust kit for V6 Mustangs) would i need to also purchase a Mustang V6 Dual Exhaust Adapter Kit (94-98 V6) to accomodate the dual exhaust system since i dont have one...this stuff is all too confusing for me...lol...sorry if its a dumb question...thanks to any1 who can help...and will this alone give my car a better sound??...and maybe more Horsepower or sum stuff like that??...i wanted a dual exhaust but couldnt afford it at the time...by the way im only 17:shifty: lol...thanks to any1 who can help me

If you are not satisfied with the performance of your V6 then dont waste your time with bolt on parts. You definately will need a full exhaust either way though. After the exhaust you should be installing a supercharger if you want to keep up with GTs.

Exhaust+Supercharger = ALOT of fun:beerchug:

Mac makes dual exhuast kits for 6 bangers so you might look into that. Some LT headers would also be nice. However you will never have the rumble of a v8.

why in the hell would do on a v-6 - (power packs) thats just fukin stupid - you can buy and build a gt or cobra motor for that - fuk!

you dont need another hanger kit thats bull, any competent muffler shop can fab up a hanger for the pass side muff.

i have the mac catback exhaust system from this place, http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_v6/ , and it is the one that is a direct bolt on replacement for our 6ixers...you either need to have an exhaust shop make you the passanger side hanger since you are adding an additional muffler, or you can buy one thru them for 50$...

6bangers = V6 mustangs:bash:

also check out this thread, and READ IT!!, it will answer many of your questions about exhaust...https://mustangboards.com/v6-tech-fo...es-setups.html
