Time to play...

Whats your gas mileage??

I just filled up with 9.375 Gallons of 93 Octane (had about a quarter tank left). Traveled 164.2 miles on that 9.375 gallons, all city driving. I pulled out a nice 17mpg city with my Cobra, best that thing has ever done.

God im glad the gas forumlas changed.

Whats everyone else gettin?

3V2000GT 04-11-2006 12:32 PM

i get an average of 230 to the tank on 93 sct performance tune 140 is highway i take like 5 1 mile trips back and forth to school every day though

madmatt 04-11-2006 12:40 PM

I got 21 mpg last tank.

Icefreezen 04-11-2006 12:41 PM

I'll let you know after I get my 87 octane "gas saver" tune after the dyno

Mug11 04-11-2006 01:23 PM

93 octane...

about 200 miles from F to E. Of course i go for alittle bit on empty. Fill up about 13.5 gallons which costs almost 40 bucks.... lovin' it. :censored: cams

p3s7_01 04-11-2006 08:03 PM

i don't know my mpg but all i know is that i consume 5 dollars worth of gas everyday @ 2.93/gal. 91 octane

steve-o 04-11-2006 08:06 PM

Last time I checked I got 18 mpg city. Didn't do much highway driving, never do. I work 4 miles from home.

Nofire 04-11-2006 08:12 PM

I just checked it over the weekend and I got right at 22-23 mpg. That's mostly city driving with some interstate stuff thrown in and it includes my "spirited" driving style;) But I have no doubt in my mind that that's going to go down.

whitethunder46 04-11-2006 08:53 PM

With 93 octane, my automatic, and my SCT tune I get about 240 miles out of a tank, when completely full and I fill up as soon as my "low fuel" light comes on.

About 70% city drive, 30% Highway Drive (anything over 60mph), averages about 18mpg.

jjtgiants 04-11-2006 08:57 PM

I get about 220 miles out of a tank if I'm freeway/city driving....If i get out on the freeway and cruise I can get close to 300 miles.....all I know is that I paid $3.03 for 91 octane today and that's freaking crazy....I saw one chevron with 91 octane at $3.17! :surrender

economy cars are overrated. It's far more worth it to enjoy the car you drive than to freak out over gas prices. And in a typical car with a 20 gallon gas tank paying 2.75/gallon. Even if prices went up a dollar, you're only paying an extra $20/week. And honestly, if an extra $20/wk in gas is gonna kill you, then you need to get a different car. I will have my car even when gas prices hit $4 and even $5 just bc I'm not living beyond my means. I make far beyond what I need for all my bills and just put the rest in savings. This is also why financial advisors say to have your transportation only take up 10-15% of your earnings, that way in case anything happens, you can still afford the car/insurance/gas.

I got about 218 miles for alittle less than a tank of gas.. thats with the 4.10s and cams in running decently rich :)

With my 2005 GT, when I go to NJ to visit relatives, I can get up to about 28-29MPG, if I'm nice with the gas pedal, adn use cruise control. On my last trip, only driving my GT up and back, (not driving it around when I was up there, we used my Father in Laws truck) I had 28.7MPG. After about 8-9 days of regular driving around at home, it was down to mid 18's MPG.

On a fill up and driving regular around town at home, I usually float between high 15's/low 16's to about high 17's/low 18's.

My car seems to get WAY better gas mileage when im just driving it around town. It likes to suck down the gas on the interstate though. I dont know what the deal is. I know that I can drive all day around town on like 1/4 tank of gas but the car uses more than an 1/8th tank everytime I drive to nashville on the interstate. The trip is about 30 miles one way. A round trip costs me 10 dollars in gas (1/4 tank) and I only drove 60 miles. Is that normal gas mileage? Keep in mind that my average speed on the interstate is like 80-85mph....with the occasional run up to 100 or 110 just for kicks. I have never actually calculated what im getting but maybe its time to try...... When im around town though it doesnt use much at all.:o

spike_africa 04-12-2006 07:17 AM

i got 17.9mpg on my last tank full city driving and a few nitrous sprays too. I need to get tuned so i can get a gas saver tune from justin at VMP.

matrixpuba 04-12-2006 07:59 AM

How are you getting 370??? That sounds odd cause my old 99 V6 mercury cougar just got 400 miles to the tank..... and your just getting 30 miles less.

the 370 only happened once. it was freeway driving on a flat interstate. the 320 and 340 only happen when i drive the car to work and baby it.

Rabbit 04-12-2006 10:46 AM

Ever since I put on ly JLT RAI, I have been getting 260 miles and 21mpg. I was getting 230 and 19 before!!!!!!

(this has been the same for the last 4 tanks of gas, not just a one time thing)

Stangdude27 04-12-2006 11:11 AM
