groan bracket

Does any one know what the groan bracket does on the rear end besides suppress noise in the brakes?

Its no more than a weight to supress noise..just like you said. I spoke to a guy at Hunter Engineering and he said it was just a bandaid Ford stuck on there because the didnt get the rearend quite right.

Hard lesson to learn. I put 13" disks on the rear and left one nut on the horse shoe bolt loose. Hey big ups to Ford for figuring out how to transfer harmonics through the axle tubes. Cheap fix and I stop on a dime. Thanks for the info.

Update! I bought the rear kit from a well known site which I will not say but it is crap. No noise under normal driving conditions and gets alot of comments. But at 130, it raises E mortal h3ll! It will be on ebat soon so don't look for it.
