I bought a barley used V3 RAZR that's been unblocked ( that was formerly Cingular). I got the phone today, and I took my SIM out of my old phone ( Nextel i530) and put it in my RAZR...the RAZR detects the SIM and everything, because it says my name and number...

but i can't make or recive calls, and my contacts ae gone...Is there something I have to do in order t use it? something with the settings or something??? yelp me

 

take it to a rapair shop and they should hook you up.

you sure the contacts were saved to your sim and not on the phone itself? I dunno about the receiving/sending calls part

 

I know nextel uses sim cards....but i didn't think they worked on other phones besides nextel phones. That's what i thought but i also don't think that often.

is it the right network?

 

you're right...i did alot of research tonite, and finally found that out...sucks

 

C'mon dude, anybody could have told you that nextel work on the I-Den network and cingular/t-mobile phones work on GSM nextworks...

PS: how much did you pay for your razr?
