how do i get rid of the speed limiter on my v6?

 

get a custom compter chipp or tuner like the SCT hand held tuner or xcaliber

No, and you arent going to go much faster than 120. Theres no reason to get a chip just to get rid of the limiter.

 

how do you figure only 120? i can do 110 in 4th.

 

just get a chip to remove the limiter it will also add Hp which is fun for the whole family.

i guess thats the way im going to have to go. im going to wait until i do a few engine mods first, that way the chip will be tuned right.

 

Don't forget to get better tires! The limiter is there to keep you from exceeding the tire's reccomended speed. You don't want a blowout at 150mph.

your limiter and stock tires are only set and rated at 118 so get tires way before exceding 118 or your pretty much an organ donor!? and even with the limiter off your only gonna get to about 125 or so and that will take a few miles so get some gears to speed the process up but the down fall of that is you top speed will drop a little! that is until engine mods

 

cant really tell how fast your going after that anyway... our gauges cut off at 120... lol...

 

is it possible to use a gt or cobra speedo? 125 is better than 110 imo
