Default Older motor in newer car?

Ok i was just doing some looking at my motor and found something weird.
The vin comes up with the car being a 2002 but here's the kicker The motor in it has the early 01 water pump. Now I haven't been to upset about it since i put a blower on it but whats the deal on this? When I bought the car about 6 1/2 7 months ago with 36k on the clock which to me seemed fine, no warrenty blower time, but this realy concerns me as to why there is a 01 or older motor in my car? Any imputs as what i could do before any problems start to arise out of my motor.

Another quick note I can't find a vin number on the car except the one on the dash by the windshield.

I thought I've read somewhere that it wasn't too uncommon to have an older water pump in a 02 GT. If thats the case, you probably also have the older PI intake manifold. I wouldn't sweat it, but check into it when you gots time.

where can i find the vin number on the engine bay and on the chasis?

Also is there a way to check to make sure i have the 3650 trans, because i have that shifter in there and want to make sure it is the right one!

Reason for asking is some 01 take t45 and some the 3650

if you have the 3650 shifter and it fit, you have the 3650.
