That is how all of that companies turbos work, maybe its to let the exhaust cool off a bit before hitting the intercooler? Maybe there isnt as much turbo whine etc.

the problem i see by having the turbo in that location is on a rainy day with the wheels kicking up water all over the place that turbo must suck in water and to boot how often are you going to have to clean that air filter.

Sts has been out for awhile now, liek he said all of there kits are liek that and i think are quiet weird.

I saw a single turbo camaro set up just like that! The big turbo was sitting right inbetween the bumper and the differential.

there have been alot of threads about them, the main thing people are worried about is sucking up water or geting the filter ripped off by debri that the back tires might throw etc. On top of this it requires long lines for the oil feed and return, it takes up more piping. And with the turbo so far back the exhuast has to lose some heat which means it would slow down and not spin as fast in theroy.

Yea, turbo lag is bad on those type setups.
