Default 03 GT flywheel question

Can a flywheel from a 2003 GT be resurfaced? I have been told that it is an aluminum flywheel with a steel friction material riveted to it and because it is riveted, it cannot be resurfaced. Is this true?

Is it the stock flywheel?

Stock is steel I believe.

The only aluminum flywheel with steel friction material that can't be removed are the 03-04 Cobra flywheels (FML).

Anything aftermarket like centerforce or spec will have removable friction material.

Yea I'm referring to the stock 03 GT flywheel. I have been advised that both the GT and the Cobra flywheel for at least 03 is non-resurfaceable as the inserts are riveted and I am trying to verify this.

Never heard that. And nor would they randomly start in 03 like that....

Nor would they put the same flywheel that is in a Cobra, especially the Terminator, in a GT. Fact.

So I think someone is feeding you some serious bullshit.
