The wife and I are going over names for our daughter that's to be born in October, and my mother in law jokingly said, "How about Shelby?" to which my wife says, "Hey, that's not half bad. But what about a middle name?"

To which of course I say "Carol."

So, she's actually leaning towards Shelby Carol Anderson.

Hmmm......

 

Shelby is the name I want to name my first daughter. The dog's name is going to be nismo.

 

Ha, that's an awesome name. I've always liked the name Shelby for a girl.

My favorite though is Kennedy.

 

I like it. Ironically my GF said the same thing if we ever have a daughter.

 

I also through out "Eleanor" as a possible middle name to her, just to see what she'd say. I got back an "I don't know....."

I like the Shelby idea . I'm not sure about using Carol as a middle name though .. If it were my daughter I'd be happier with something that rolls off the tongue a little better, like Shelby Louise Anderson.

When I was younger (in elementary school), I wanted to marry a guy with the last name of "Spencer" so I could name my kid Pez Dis Spencer. And no, I'm not kidding. God, I was a dork... and still am.

I've actually told my girlfriend for atleast two years now that if we have a daughter I want to name her Shelby. I knew a Megan Shelby in highschool, she was a damn beautiful girl.

 

I know a kid named Justin Case (for real)...his parents must hate him, lol. I, personally have always liked the middle names Michelle or Marie. Well anyway, that's my two cents.

 

Not a bad name, but isn't that taking the mustang syndrome a little far? LOL

on the topic of bad names there are a few kids around here whos names are ********, Orangejello, and Lemonjello. the last 2 are siblings.

 

No daughter of mine will:

Have boyfriends before the age of 17. (or "friends" that are boys for that matter)

Own\drive\crave a Camaro.

 

Then you better have her a Shelby of her own when she turns 18...lol
