Memorial weekend we had some friends out. So we decided to take them up to Napa and San Francisco and do an Alcatraz tour.

Thanks guys. Alcatraz was pretty cool. I've lived about 40 minutes from San Fran. my whole life and I had never visited Alcatraz. The audio tour you can do is pretty cool as it has you walk around the jail and everything and tells you where fights broke out, things to look out for, tells you to go into one of the solitary confinement cells, and a couple of the cells where inmates broke out. Really cool place.

 

Beautiful pictures! I've wanted to visit Alcatraz ever since I was a kid. It looks so haunting and creepy. I love it.

 

LOL....dude, me to. I've only lived in the Bay Area for 12 years or so, and haven't visited Alcatraz. I did have a friend of a friend visit from Arizona and we did one of those double decker bus tours through SF and that was pretty fun.

Despite all the political BS in SF, it's one of the coolest cities in the world.

Well if you ever make it out to Cali, you should definitely go. Walking into solitary confinement was pretty crazy. It was soo damn small. You walked into the cell and there was the normal metal bars, then there was the additional metal doors that closed on top of that to make it pitch dark in there. Definitely not a place I would want to be.

Thanks. Yeah it's definitely an interesting city. I could never ever live there, but it's fun to visit every now and then and there is so much to experience.

 

Beautiful photos! I have wanted to go there as well! I love spooky places! I am planning a trip to Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville, KY! (the abandoned TB hospital) It has a body chute! I live paranormal stuff.
