Default Aftermarket electric gauge install questions

So I think I'm going to order some gauges. At the least I'm going to get the oil pressure and water temp. I may possibly get oil pressure as well depending on what pod I get...either the 3 gauge a pillar or the 2 gauge cluster surround. Still trying to decide what kind but leaning toward the autometer es.

I did some searching tonight and couldn't find any good write ups on installing these. I installed a couple electrical gauges on my previous car so I've got a little know how but it was a while ago and not on a mustang. Does anyone know where I can find some good write ups or if I need any extra parts etc? I've got a 04 GT 4.6.

They come with instructions and all you gotta do is fallow them. I also wound't waste money on a water temp gauge when stock is fine, but thats me.

I realize that they come with instructions but those instructions are not specific to my car...they are more of a generic how to. I'm looking for specific write ups like where exactly the oil pressure sender goes on a 4.6 sohc engine etc.

Right by the oil filter is a sensor for the stock ford gauge on the bottom of it there is a plug you take that plug out install the autometer sender and connect that one wire to the sender and run it to the gauge. Thats how the oil pressure goes.

That's what I was looking for...thanks.

Anyone else know any good write ups or how to install oil temp or water temp? I read somewhere that you have to drill the pan for oil temp. Is that true?

You could just use a T and T off the port your going to use for the oil pressure and get the temp from the same location.
