Question yankees tickets?

I am a diehard Yankees fan and have been since I was 5 years old. Since I have been to Yankee stadium many many times its time to take my 6yr old so he can take in all the history and see the sites. We flyout at 6:20am on August 29th and return August 30th at 9pm. We are going to go to the Bluejays game on August 29th.I have been on numerous ticket sites today looking for good deals including craigslist in NY. I am looking for main box level seats that typically have a face value of 80-90 bucks but these sites are charging roughly 200 a ticket which includes "their" fees.

If I have to pay that amount I will but I am trying to be a little more thrifty if the chance presents itself.

todd,

i work for a ticket broker (we run several business, we're closing this business down in the next 6 months, thank god). tickets for yankee stadium games are getting charged a premium because this is the last year it's open, they're knocking it down at the end of the year. thus, brokers in new york who control the tickets for games are charging a premium on tickets. east coast ticket brokers are generally jerks to deal with. in my 2.5 years experience in the business i haven't met one east coast broker that was a nice person to do business with. check stubhub.com, thats the best advice i can give you, and also settle for some outfield seats maybe.

edit: i just browsed stubhub real quick, i see some listings in the sections youre looking for that aren't too crazy, take a look!

did you try stubhub.com? That's where I usually get my USC tickets from. My Father-in-law and brother-in-law just took a trip out to see the Yankees and Red Sox and they got their tickets from stubhub.com I don't think they were premium seats like you want, but they were still very expensive.

I have checked stubhub, my plan for now since i am about 5-6 weeks out is to just check ebay and stubhub daily and probably buy the tickets 1-2 weeks out so I can get a better deal.
