Default MGW SHIFTER ?

Before I order the MGW short throw for my '04 GT I would like to ask anyone out there who has one if shift effort is increased dramatically
or just by an amount that I will easily adjust to ?
All other aspects of this shifter sound like exactly what I want.

Thanks.

I don't think it takes more effort, less than stock IMO because your not shifting gears like you would row a boat. Maybe for the first week or so it's a little stiff, but it "loosens up" and gets easier. You'll enjoy shifting gears alot more.

I got one of these on my shopping list. Had a Tri-Ax on my 96 which was fine but this one looks like it'll be much better.

It's a smidge harder but the only thing I noticed when I installed my Hurst is the side-to-side motions are harder but that's because I left the stock setting for the self-centering springs, which is the stiffest setting.

Definitely pretty stiff at first, but give it some time and it'll shift like a dream before you know it

Default JUST INSTALLED!

Had my MGW installed today and it is the single biggest improvement in driving enjoyment that I've made on my GT !!
Just driving the 11 miles home I noticed what a difference !!
Sorry to say it reminds me of the European cars I've owned where shifting was so smooth, quick, and natural .
That stock shifter always made me feel that I had to pay too much attention to just making smooth shifts even in normal diving.
The MGW just eliminated that concern. In less than one hour it feels totally natural and I have read that it gets even better as it breaks in.

MGW hands down !!!

Yeah, the MGW shifter is the ****....heard lots of good things about it, drove a friends mach1 that had one...good stuff, but not worth the cost of ditching my pro5.0 and forking the cash over for one...
