Hi all. Been lookin around the last couple of days and finally decided to post. I wanted to get everyone's opinion on which wheel I should get.

I'm lookin into getting a new set of tires and wheels this summer. I have a black 2001 GT. I've finally decided on the 18x9 DD Bullitts with 275/35/18's all the way around (so I can get them rotated). I'm still undecided on the color though. Should I go with the all chrome or the black w/the chrome lip?

I just got my rear bumper letter decals in that I ordered from AM. They are silver. I'm eventually going to get a silver running horse for my rear window. Any other detailing I decide to do will be w/silver also w/the exception of the brake calipers. I want to do those in purple (yes I'm a girl! lol). Eventually when I'm finished w/school I want to get the stang repainted black w/purple metal flecks.

Now w/all that, the silver & purple, in mind, what do you all think will look the best, chrome or black bullitts???

i luv my blk wheels, but i think chrome would better suit ur needs. that and since ur changing color and all, chrome goes w/dang near anything.

 

I'd be REAL careful about buying ANYTHING from this company. I ordered four new wheels with tires for my 2008 Bullitt because they told me they were the factory color. When I got them, they weren't even close!!! When I asked for assistance, they told me the best I could do was try to sell them myself on ebay !!!

 

And then again you have to think you have the option of Black Chrome finish too, to many chooses to consider...my head hurts thinking about it!

 

thnx for your opinions. I think I've finally decided on chrome. Then again its still a while off b/f I have the $$ to buy them so I'll probably change my mind half a dozen times til then LOL

 

make sure you know what you want. Because if you have AM do the mounting and balancing with tires for the rims, and they don't work out right you cannot return them.

 

You have to have the chrome with a black mustang!! The same reason I put black wheels on my white mustang, you need the contrast, trust me.

I've never been a fan of chrome wheels. I like the look of the anthracite on a black mustang.

 

well my vote is of course black on chrome as that is what i have and everywhere i go i get compliments...

does anyone have any pics of the anthracite on black? I never really thought about that combo.

 

I have a yellow Mustang and the only rims that look good are chrome. I've tried previewing it online as black and it looked fine. Happened to park next to an identical Mustang one day with black rims and it looked real bad.

 

I normally prefer bullitts but this cobra is pretty sweet looking with the fr500s.

 

ya know, im not a fan of chrome rims; my stang had chrome 15"'s when i bought it.... asked them to throw the stockers back on (swap from another)...
but i do admin that on black stangs..... chrome looks DAM NICE!!!!!

im looking at black fr500's for my black stang its gona look sick. i love the black with the crom lip.

 

both would look sick, but i would suggest 18X9 of the cobra style in chrome.

 

I have an '08 Black GT and have Black Cobra R wheels, with a Chrome lip. I am here to tell you, the amount of complements and looks I get is astounding!

Even the mechanics at the dealer oogle over my ride!

Go with Black, especially if you have or are going to tint your windows.

Plus chrome is too hard to keep clean.
