ugh...for a got damned speeding ticket. (check my other thread). discussed with a lawyer today and he said there's about a 50/50 chance of jail time...if not I have to be put on probation and do 2 hours of community service for every mile per hour I was going over. So that's 96 hours of community service. damnit .

 

i feel you, i got yet another ticket tonight. i didnt even realise i was going that fast. i wasnt pissed off or anything. i was just on my way home. Ha. **** happens. looks like my mustang will have to sleep for a few months after i go to court. prolly will lose my license atleast for 90 days to till i'm 18. (btw, i'm 17. will be 18 in Aug.)

 

I would say you should "straighten up, and fly right". You can't keep getting into trouble all your life. Slow down for a while.. Then again when I was young I did the same stupid ****. Just lucky enough not to get caught..

with all the trouble you have been in i would say its about time.....maybe it will wake you up. sorry to be so harsh, but when you keep getting slapped on the wrist it doesn't help straighten you out....I know from experience.

 

I don't understand why it's so hard for people to just drive the speed limit or at least 10 over. Sure I have those random times where I'll punch it for a few second, but I'm not cruising at 100+. You guys gotta be smarter than that especially since you always seem to get caught.

 

the quick punch is actually what got me, so dont even assume you're safe doing that. I wasnt doing my speed for more than a few seconds and got nailed. Just dont do it period.

yeah I understand, but you gotta be smart at where you are doing too. I will usually do it on some back road or something during off hours. But then you get people like V6_Mustang_Power who say I didn't even realize how fast I was going. Come on, you don't ever bother to look down at your speedo? When I'm going 80, I can feel I'm going 80.

Just trade it in your fast car for an SUV with 24s, that way you cant speed even if you wanted to.

As a father, you would have lost your driving priveledges at my house ages ago. It is irresponsible as a parent to allow you on the road. You would never again drive a car under my roof unless you were out on your own paying your own way.

I damn near lost my licence a few years back. I just got the exhaust donee on the stang, got a ticket for 2pts. they wouldnt plea it down because i had a 1pt ticket 11months prior.

so i was sitting at 9 points left

then a month later i got another 3 point ticket

then a month later i got a 6 point ticket. (speeding in school zone, to my defence the sun hit the school zone lights dead on, couldnt see them flashing, plus it was my normal route to work and at 2:00 they are not on, however, i was running a bit slower and didnt hit there untill 2:10, i stil had 20 min to get to work, so i ran 45 through a school zone without realizing it)

i was down to ZERO points. lol. i could have been pulled over for ANTYHING and lost my licence.

i havent had another ticket in the past 2 years.
