Default Has anyone used the Sumitomo Tire?

MT is recommending the Sumitomo HTR Z ( 315/35-17 ) for the Anthracite Deep Dish Wheel (17x10.5) I was going to buy those wheels for the back and leave the stock rims on the front and go with the Matched tire for the front (245/45-17) which are on the stock wheels now. Any feedback on the above would be much appreciated. 2001 GT

I have them, they are a descent tire for cruising. Not the best performance brand but still good deal for the dough.

I have them. Great tire for the price. Keep in mind I have a blower car, a 5 speed and 4.10s. These tires take a lot of abuse. I too have the 315's int he back and 275's in the front.

I got about 10k on the back ones thus far and I just bought four new ones which I will put on soon. Epect to get 10 - 15 k on them...maybe more. All depends on how you drive.

They work well in the rain, but suck in the cold. Below about 40 degrees you really loose traction...they get hard. This is a summer tire.

Same, 275/40/17 front, 315/35/17 rear. Awesome setup. I get lot of compliments.
