Some asked to see a vid here is a short vid of what I did last week. These are my trunk lights now. In the vid you will see the light come on when trunk is opened and off when I close the lid. If anyone is interested 96-98 have this switch that is operated by gravity or the motion of the trunk along with a switch that is on the latch. Thats why the trunk light turns on only when its fully open and not half open. The switch is on the left side of the trunk lid itself and is mounted on a 45d angle. If you want to do the same just tap into the exsisting trunk bulb. run the wires along the exsisting loom, add a bigger diameter loom that covers the original loom and wire.

 

looks good but its hard to really see it because its so dark. i know you already had the amps and caps in your trunk like that because i've seen pictures of it from a while back.

 

Before I needed a switch since my lock module was not sending the signal to power the trunk light. I got a new module now its working so I wire the amp lights to it. I also enclosed the capacitors, I can still remove my spare without moving anything but the trunk carpet. I could of done something more complicated but I need it to be more functional and light as I have enough weight in the back. I like the fact that I have lots of room still I think just about the same as your vert. I posted 2 pics up top.
