Hey guys u know the Saleen Speedo inside...? reaches up to 200mph.... I wanted to insert one on my gt... i know its gonna be off... is there a way to fix it?....... to go the same speed i am really goin...?

 

I wanted this too, but from what I hear it's not only really hard to get ahold of the gauge cluster itself, it's also very difficult to armwrestle saleen into giving you the tune to make them work.

 

Just wondering, this probably wouldn't work, but could you get a regular tuner like the speed cal or a actual tuner like SuperChip that can change the tire size/gear ratio so the gauge would be going slower?

It's kinda hard to explain, but say 40 on the old gauge matches up with 60 on the new gauge, reprogram the car so it thinks it's doing 40 when it's really doing 60.

But the more I think about it, I guess the new speedometer would only be accurate at one speed... guess that wouldn't work. Nevermind.

 

The speed cal from DallasMustang or Brothers Performance would probably work also. I know i had to buy one for my car since i installed a newer Cobra T-45 in my Saleen. Without it, i was doing almost 90MPH off the bat, due to my old tranny was a mechanicl speedo and the newer ones are electrical. You could give them a call and ask, wouldn't hurt. I want the 200MPH speedo also, the stock saleen ones i have now only go to 150.
