Wynjammer Supercharger

So I went to have my car dynotuned yesterday with the Wynjammer on at 6lbs. Everyone there was skeptical about the kit because no one has seen or really heard of it. When it came time to dynotune my car it was 58.22 degrees, 30.05 in-Hg, Humidity 27%, and SAE 0.95. It put down 303.90 rwhp and 339.28 rwtq at 4200 rpm. I still had 1800 rpm to go!:breakdancesmilie: After that point it went lean because the stock MAF was pegged. Instead of upgrading MAFs I am going to use a Diablosport MAFia and then retry. I am going back on Tuesday to have it dynotuned with the MAFia and given the results so far my car will be capable of over 350 rwhp and close to 400 rwtq. And keep in mind all this is done with 6lbs of boost, no intercooler, MAC Off-Road H-Pipe, and a Stainless Steel MAC catback. After seeing other people's results with Vortech and Procharger, I am very impressed with it so far and what it will be like on Tuesday.:boink:

Next mods: Custom polished powerpipe, Methanol Injection, MAC Ceramic Longtubes and Matching X-Pipe, Accufab 75mm Throttle body and plenum

After those mods I think it will be at the engine's limit:Woot:

sounds like some good numbers once u get everything in order wuts the link to thw eebsite so we can check out ur kit

00PerfRedGT 11-24-2006 07:46 PM

The link is www.wynjammer.com. I'll have to get some pictures up in the next couples days when I get her washed. But yeah I just cant wait until Monday or Tuesday when i go back to get it tuned with the MAFia.

00PerfRedGT 11-24-2006 07:50 PM

By the way, I know it is always asked but, what is the limit to my engine? I was thinkin 425 or 450 but I'm not sure how much i want to push it after it gets retuned. I just don't want to start breaking stuff. Thanks

All depends on how much risk you want to take and how much boost you intend to make.

Running 400 hp at 12 lbs is more rough on the motor then making 425 hp at 8 lbs (if this is even possible).

Most guys would say 425 hp as a max safe point. I just had a conversation with a tuner who recomends 400 as a max. He feels the added 25 hp is not worth the added risk. His comment to me "running 425 hp on these motors with a blower is one bad shift from a blown motor".

Best advice I can give you is to run a max of 10 lbs of boost. Take whatever power you can make at that level, but don't exceed 425.

You may initially make 385 at 10 lbs and then add headers at make 400....still at 10 lbs. Make sense?

00PerfRedGT 11-24-2006 10:15 PM

So 425 huh? I thought thats what it was. I will try to get 400 and then call it quits for now. I have been looking at the little things right now, like colder spark plugs, the new MSD coil-on plugs, a boost pipe, shifter gasket, royal purple synthetics for the engine (already running it but its time for an oil change soon) and tranny. After that I'll do the headers and x-pipe. I am wanting to do some gears but what do you guys think 3.73, 3.90, or 4.10? I do very little highyway driving, mainly light to light.

00PerfRedGT 11-24-2006 10:16 PM

How do you like your 4.10s WaterDR?

stang00 11-25-2006 06:11 AM

stay under 400hp stay with the blower at maybe 360 max if you want your car to last and run great for yrs to come 400 is nice but u will kill it mucho faster

spike_africa 11-25-2006 07:02 AM

its the tune, not the Hp at that level. 400ish rwhp is fine if you have a good tune.

00PerfRedGT 11-25-2006 07:17 PM

You are right it is all about the tune, I just hope the tune is right though. I'll probably go for 380-400 and then get all the suspension and gears and it should be fast enough for now. I am also aiming to get racing seats, a rear seat delete, take out the spare (and get AAA), and relocate the battery. What gears do you guys recommend though?

ChrisGT 11-26-2006 08:46 AM

4.10's...you'll love them with the blower.

00PerfRedGT 11-26-2006 09:30 PM

While I'm in there what else should I do? Rebuild the posi or leave it alone and just worry about the gears and the bearing kit? I was wanting to do 31 spline axles and posi, gears and bearing kit, and a diff cover. Is all this worth it right now or is it some thing I should just do in time? I'm Just going to be running street tires and might go to the track maybe like 5 times a year.

I can't wait until tomorrow....I find out for sure when I can get my car retuned with the MAFia. I hope to God it can be done tomorrow because I am starting to get antsy.

How much of a difference is it with 4.10s and a blower? I know its alot but i mean overall feel of the car and traction issues?

stevemainian 11-28-2006 04:03 AM

On that wynjammer website all I see is GM superchargers. Wheres the ones for the moosestangs?

00PerfRedGT 11-28-2006 04:14 PM

They dont make them for mustangs anymore, I got their last kit. You can always call and ask though. When I talked to Al at Wynjammer Superchargers he said it was his last kit and that he didnt want to make kits for Ford anymore and that he was going to start making them strictly for Chevy. His reasoning was that there were too many complications with Mustangs (can only run low boost on non-cobra cars, different pullies, bolts, etc.) I think it is stupid but what ever.....:moreboost:

It's always worthwhile to build your rearend while you've got it apart. That way you'll only have to pay for it to be done ONCE! You'll love the 4.10's, car will be right at home with them. Oh, and as you start increasing power traction is always going to be an issue..lol :moreboost: but it is definitely streetable and most importantly........fun.

I just got back from HP Performance over in Orange Park, FL where I got my car retuned with the Diablosport MAFia and Ford Racing 30 lb/hr injectors. It put down 317.19 rwhp and 349.62 rwtq on a dynojet. I am a little disapointed about the numbers but there was belt slippage on this run. :shakeno: I still cant complain though, it feels really strong and is a blast to drive.

On the other hand I dont know how I am going to fix my traction problem now. It spins like crazy now all the way through third gear. I have to go from a pretty good roll to keep it from getting crazy. It is nice to watch the speedo climb faster than the RPMs though.:boink: My next tires are going to be 265/35 BFG KDW 2 and 315/30 BFG KDW 2. Do upper and lower control arms help out ALOT? Because I need alot of help back there. Thanks

White04GT 12-01-2006 11:47 PM

Eeeek thoughs numbers are low. You still running 6lbs of boost? crank it up.

venom 12-02-2006 08:02 AM

Get LCAs for the rear as this will help you keep the tires planted squarely on the floor.

00PerfRedGT 12-02-2006 10:06 PM

I called the owner of Wynjammer Superchargers the other day to talk to him about upgrading to a 9 lb pulley (I am pretty sure that is the only size he has between 6 and 12). He told me he didnt want to send it to me becuase I would end up blowing up my motor. I already know that is BS but he neing a previous ford guy knows that the GT motor is weak. I know this too but with me only making 320, with a 9 lb pulley and a goodyear gatorback belt I still would be near 400 which would be fine.

Another thing said to do was use shorty headers and not use a throttle body or intake plenum. The way he explained it makes since and I know the difference between the scavenging effects of long tubes vs. short tubes but I just want some one elses opinion about the things states above.

After talking to the guy for a good hour I found out alot of things. He was the first person to super charge alot of later model cars and trucks. The pictures on his site are of cars like a 95 Cobra R and a Lincoln Mark VIII that he made the first blowers for. He actually orginated the design for putting a 32 valve in a Mustang for a supercharged GT, Cobra, etc. He then sold these rights to Granatelli who then sold them to Paxton. The guy is really smart about cars but thats what really makes me wonder why he told me this but yet of heard from other people to do long tubes and throttle body and intake plenum.

Sorry for being so long winded.lol:attention_whore:
