New to drag racing, i need a little advice...

I want to add some suspension parts to my rear end to make it hook a little better. I've read about getting LCA and UCA's...what exactly do these do for it? and since I'll be buying them seperatly which one should I get first? I'm going to get some 4.10s for the rear end eventually but I figured I would get some parts to make me grip better before I get them. any advice would be appreciated. BTW, i have a 2000 gt 5-speed. stock except a JLT ram air and BBK lowering springs.

Control arms prevent wheel hop and allow the car to launch more straight. The think the uppers address the hop issue.

If you are not getting wheel hop, I am not sure if you really gain much by adding them.

As far as which one first upper or lower, I don't like to do the same work twice. I did both at the same time which lowered labor costs.

I went with UPR. You can get both upper and lowers for about $200 and they are probably the best, cheaper control arms on the market. Lots of fast guys running these.

So what would be some suggestions that I do to the suspension to make it hook up better? Would it be better to just get some drag radials and go from there?

lower get rid of the hop, and uppers are used to change the pinon angle to get more traction by aiming the pinon slightly down.
