LS1's are brutal bro. They come straight out of the factory with 300 some even 315 rwhp bone stock. On top of that, they react awesome towards mods. I've seen some w/LT's exhaust and a cam pull off 390-400 rwhp. I have a LT1, good motors but nothing to a LS1 but w/my mods I still walk on them often(good feeling). Any car can be quick bro. That definitely goes for mustangs because I have gotten my a** handed to me by some, even modded GT's. They(LS1's) do have an advantage straight out of the box, but they also have 5.7's and a decent flowing set of stock heads. Throw a 50-100 shot (cheapest bang for your buck) on your car and you wont have that problem again. :bigwink:

well it is a 281 vs a 346 anyway, of course there is an advantage.

lol, nah...I'm on all the camaro boards and see ford dudes in there all the time so I decided to drop in on a mustang forum. I am a fan of all american cars including mustangs. I just grew to love camaros.

Speaking from personal experience I must say if you want to consistently beat those spraying LS1s, you better be running lots of boost on a built bottom end. 400hp won't be enough.

I had this question.

there's one simple answer.. there's no replacement for displacement.. unless yoru boosting the **** out of it lol

Bring on LS1's and C6 Vettes,,,i destroyed a C6 with ease at Bradenton last Saturday (twice I might add. first time I even missed 2nd gear.) 03 Cobra w/mods is the way to go.
